Accessibility

Accessibility on this website

We want our website to work well for as many people as possible – regardless of device, language skills or personal impairments.

What we implement

  • Clear, high-contrast colours based on semantic design tokens, so text stays readable even in poor lighting.
  • Meaningful alternative text for all informative images and graphics.
  • Consistent labelling of form fields, buttons and links for screen readers.
  • A “skip to content” link as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Keyboard operability for navigation, the cookie banner and all key interactions.
  • Semantic HTML structure with clear main, navigation and footer landmarks.
  • Sufficiently large click and touch targets plus visible focus indicators for keyboard use.

Feedback welcome

If you encounter barriers or content that is not accessible in the form you need, we are glad to hear from you. We take every report seriously and check how we can act on it.

Known limitations

Although we keep improving accessibility, individual file attachments (e.g. print PDFs) or older content may not be fully accessible. On request we are happy to provide content in a format that suits you.

Complaints and conciliation body

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility report, you can contact the Austrian Sozialministeriumservice. It is responsible for accessibility matters – in particular under the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG) and disability equality law – and also runs the conciliation procedure.
